1. General Provisions
1.1. These regulations define the status, goals, objectives, structure, and procedures of the Women's Council of Osh State University (OshSU).
1.2. The Women's Council is a public organization whose purpose is to protect the rights and interests of women employees and female students of OshSU, and to promote their social, cultural, spiritual, and professional development.
1.3. The Women's Council carries out its activities in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Charter of Osh State University, and these Regulations.
2. Purpose of the Women’s Council
2.1. To enhance the role of university women and female students in society and support the comprehensive development of their initiatives.
2.2. To strengthen the moral, spiritual, and patriotic education of women and female students.
2.3. To protect women's rights and interests, increase civic engagement, and promote gender equality.
2.4. To form a community of active, initiative-driven, and responsible women in public life, science, education, and culture.
3. Functional Responsibilities of the Women’s Council
3.1. To establish Women’s Councils within all structural units of the university, coordinate their activities, and provide methodological support.
3.2. To organize and conduct events for women employees and female students, including:
3.3. To carry out informational and educational work to combat, prevent, and raise awareness of all forms of violence.
3.4. To study the social status of female students and women employees and present relevant proposals to university leadership for their support.
3.5. To promote the status of women in society through cultural, sports, and charitable events.
3.6. To ensure active participation of women in socially significant holidays, forums, and conferences.
3.7. To promote gender equality, family values, and national traditions.
4. Composition and Management of the Women’s Council
4.1. The Women's Council is composed of elected or appointed representatives from each institute, faculty, college, and structural unit of the university.
4.2. The work of the Women’s Council is headed by a Chairperson, appointed by the university administration.
4.3. The Women’s Council carries out its activities based on an annual work plan and approved schedule.
4.4. Meetings of the Women’s Council are held as needed but at least four times a year.
4.5. The Women’s Council may create sections or working groups to carry out active work.
5. Final Provisions
5.1. These regulations are discussed at a general meeting of the Women’s Council and approved by the university administration and the Rector.
5.2. The activities of the Women’s Council are based on the principles of voluntariness, transparency, responsibility, and democracy.
5.3. The Women’s Council works in cooperation with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, sponsors, and other educational institutions.
5.4. Amendments and additions to the regulations are made by the Women’s Council and approved in accordance with the established procedure.
